scale-less morph?

redhotreptiles Jul 15, 2008 06:55 PM

i have came across a ball python with about 30 percent of its scales missing. I know of the texas rat and gophers that are almost completely scale less but what about balls? it was not due to a bad shed for sure. it is 100 percent genetic and at least 30 percent of his body is lacking scales. I bought him farm raised at wholesale with 20 others and he was the only one like this. any help on this topic is apreciated!

I don't know if it ever proved out, but I do recall about a year or two ago someone posted pictures of a scale-less ball python. I believe he was trying to sell it...named it the "derma-ball". It was pretty ugly in my opinion.
