ARS Caging

Thinking about getting a 7030 w/cup system and was wondering if anyone here uses them and what their thoughts are? I've wanted one for quite some time now.

Thanks in advance.

I would say they have been the key to most of our success this year. We will do 100 clutches this year. that is double of any of the past years. Brian is a great guy. He takes care of his customers also.

I have two 7030's and a hatchling rack and a rodent rack. I love them! I have never used Freedom Breeder, so really can't compare them. I do have a rack that was made similar to a FB by Biggers & Callahan. I have a difficult time maintaining good humidity in the Biggers(like a FB). Some say the ARS are pricey, may be, matter of perspective, but for less that $10 for each cage space, I will do it again. I like the cup holder, flat bottom cage, no ridges, round corners, good heat. No complaints from me. Brian Hahn is a great guy to deal with.

I dont have a complete rack yet.I just have the base level, and am buying a level at a time.So I only have 2 levels. But I bought the grey tubs with built in water bowl.Figured if the grey tubs would add to the security of the snakes. And the disposable water bowl system makes cage cleaning faster. On the bottom i have the 6" heat tape with the E-series upgrade. Its all on a helix dbs1000 thermostat and holds temperature perfectly. If you want more humidity you would have to block off some of the holes. My rack is exactly the way it was shipped, and i dont get perfect sheds with it.I usually have to soak the snakes in shallow water to get the shed off.I use the substrate aspen bedding. And other than the sheds not being perfect,I have bred my ball pythons in these cages. My 1st female to drop laid 10 fertile eggs. And i got another female whos timing is off that still hasnt dropped yet but is going to.I like the ease of cleaning just pull the tub out turn it upside down into a trash can. Then wipe it down good throw in a disposable water dish and done.Im switching all my cages to ARS.Just have to do it at a pace i can afford. And like the other guys said Brian is really a customer friendly guy.

I LOVE my ARS cages with cup system! Most of my racks are Vision (which i also LOVE!), but if you can afford the extra expense, in my opinion the ARS units are second to none. It couldn't be easier than this system makes it to keep the water my snakes drink absolutely pristine.

At the risk of piling on, I also love mine -- precision engineered, indestructible, and really cool looking. Tubs are brilliant -- I got the semi-clear ones but that's just b/c I just couldn't fathom the notion that BPs don't require any sort of light cycle, even though that does seem to be the preferred wisdom. Water change out is a breeze. Not one in 33 tubs (got 3 extras at Brian's suggestion) had any discernible warpage. I swapped out the Helix for a Herpstat II only b/c my snake shed is quite tall and tends to have a significant vertical temp gradient so I thought I could compensate for that with two probes/two outputs, but that was probably overkill. Altogether worth every penny -- you are going to love this rack!

I have 2 of the 7030 ARS racks with the E-upgrade along with tubs that have the built in cup holder and they are great!
They are they best in my book. I will never buy another rack system from anyone other than ARS, Quality is key! Some people do complain that they are high priced, but like Tom said, you can house your Ball Pythons for less than $10 dollars a slot and they're in the best caging money can buy, WHY SETTLE FOR LESS?
If you have enough balls, Buy one!

My math is really not that bad! Actually it is around $100 per slot! $10? Anyone selling spiders for $30 this year? The racks are still well worth it. Tom
