Hello everyone i am a ball python keeper, im used to keeping rack type setups and havent had a display set up for years besides my oscar fish tank. Anyway i have had my atb setup going for about 5 days, and he arrived this morning. I decided not go with a tub setup for him so i have him in a glass exo terra cage with the front opening doors, its about 18 inches tall and 12 wide. With a exo terra compact hood and a 15w day bulb on a helix t stat. The temp as suggested from someone on another forum should be between 80-85 up top and obviously cooler toward the bottom. So with my temp gun i have him at 82 at the moment with an ambient temp of about 77 toward the bottom. I have have sphagnum moss covering the cage floor and a tupperware for water the surface area is wide for extra humidity. I have an accurite in there too. Humidity is about 92%. How does everything sound so far. I will get a pic up when i get home from work. Any suggestions or tips for this guy would be appreciated.
