breeding question

Tom_AF_Guy Jul 17, 2008 04:38 AM

ok, so ive kept leopard geckos as pets for a while, but this is my first attempt at breeding, this is my question. my male and female have been together a while and the female looks like she may be prego, shes got the bulges twords her back, is it common for her to start behaving somewhat agressivly twords the male now? she hasnt attacked or anything, she'll stare him down and slowly wave her tail back and forth, then the male kinda does the same thing, then sulks away. anyone else seen this behavior? could it be a sign shes gunna lay or anything? thanks in advance.

she probably just wants the male to leave her alone right now. you will know when she is ready to lay because, in my experience, she will shed about a week before she lays and she will start to dig a day or two before. make sure you have a good moist egg laying area for her. good luck..
