help medication question

i have a 8-9 ft 15 lbs boa that has a RI the vet gave me a 10 day supply of 68mg Baytril that i an supposed to give her 3/4 of a water delutied pill through a syringe once a day does that sound right for her any imput would be great ty ryan

a boa of mine had ri a couple of months ago I was told to use tylan200 it is an antibiotic used in cattle for hoof rot and other infections. i gave my boa 3 shots total @.5cc ea and her ri was completely gone in 2 weeks

Tylan or Tylosin works like a charm but you HAVE to have the proper dose otherwise you will either make the snake weaker, and not do anything to the RI or you will just kill the snake on OD....
The batril sounds about right but I've never been given pills for that.... interesting... I like injections better but everyone is different...

ty for repliying guys the vet told me that the baytril shot could cause muscle damage so she gave me pills to dilute with water and stick cathiter with syringe down throght now its been about 5 days she dont sound much better and her entier body including head is on her side on heating pads im abit worryed about her a breeder friend of mine said i should get tylan also but the vet wouldnt go for it i dont think she has much xp with reptiles like she said ty again
