Pictures of cool BRBs, and an OT (DUW)

waspinator421 Jul 17, 2008 06:06 PM

Hey everyone! I haven't been posting much here lately, so hopefully I can make it up to you by posting a bunch of pictures today. Here are three of my BRBs that I don't think you guys have seen yet. Two of the three I just got this week.

First up is Quince, a young female:

Second is a young female from Will Bird:

This next guy is super cool. He has a really neat aberrant section:

Lastly here is a neat snake that I picked up a month ago. I'm not sure if I have showed her off to this forum or not, so I apologize if you have seen her already. Roc is a female patternless Woma Python... the first to be produced as far as I know. I'll be acquiring her father as well, so we shall see if this will be a genetic trait or not. Sure hope it is!! (BTW, there is nothing wrong with her neck, she is just puffing up)

Hope you guys enjoyed the abundance of pictures in this post!!

On a totally different note... is anyone here going to the Daytona show next month?

I really like Quince, love that striped look to her dorsals and intense crescents.

The aby male is pretty cool to.

Oh, I'm glad you got that aby male! I made a half-assed attempt to get the owner's contact info when I heard that pair was available, but I couldnt find it. I saw him posted somewhere last week, but my spending money is going to a few other treasures right now so I just closed that browser window. I'm so glad you got him, at least I'll be able to see what he produces! I want on the list for one of his weirdo babies!

Nice new snakes. I love Will's babies. Yours has the same color as my Sedona from him. Neat patternless Woma too. You've got quite a collection there.

Been away myself too...lots of furry babies running around this place needing my attention. And maid service. There's still a few more photo shoots of them to do before I can start snapping snake pix again.

Surrounded by a bunch of BRB, some Ridleyi, a few Grey Banded Kings, Australian Cattle Dogs, a Belgian Malinois, assorted Mustelids and an incredibly tolerant male human.

waspinator421 Jul 18, 2008 02:49 PM

Thanks! Yeah, when I saw that male I knew I HAD to have him! I found a female several months back that looked similar to him, but unfortunetely she died before I could buy her.

You've got mail!

just building the collection. Im trying to get a selection of animals, from as many different sources, and then get to work. Im more into oddities i guess. other people have projects with the colours of the animals, and bringing out strong reds and oranges. For me, i want to see an abberrant pied/calico, a striped hypo, a pearl anery etc etc. Give me 10years, and i think i will have some interesting animals

Aubrey,

Great pics of some great snakes! I like that "striped" look
on Quince, and the color on the second one is great. Neat
woma as well, what plans (if any) do you have for her?

Thanks for sharing,
Ed

waspinator421 Jul 18, 2008 09:40 PM

Thanks Ed! My plans for the Woma will be to breed her back to her father. If I am very very lucky, perhaps another patternless will be produced! On the other hand, the lack of pattern could just be a fluke. We shall see!

All very nice BUT that will bird female and that patternless woma are just awesome, I would hope/think that patternless woma is a recessive trait, so by procuring the father that is the quickest was to find out if its genetic.

Is she one of a kind that popped up in a litter ?

Are the parents related ?

(I have seen pic's of her before on the python forum).

I like red phase brb's the best so that will bird female really caught my eye!!!!

All are beautiful animals!!!

Thanks Frank! Yes, Roc was the only one that looked like that in the clutch. I also have her sister, I named her Yomar. As you can see, they look nothing alike!

where their parents related ?

That would explain a rec trait popping up within their genotype.

I was looking at your website, and I saw that you got some more awesome brbs. Your collection is really great. With breeders like those you are going to be producing some of the better babies on the market. If I wasn't in Hawaii I would have a reservation on most of your pairings. Keep it up, I'm kinda living vicariously through you right now.

....Great PICs as usual. I will be at table 426 at Daytona. Stop by and say hello. Also let me know if there is anything you are shopping for and I can scout around for it on friday.
