Lemon grass

Is lemon grass edible for russian tortoises?

I used to have a bunch growing in my leopards pen. I don't think your tortoise herd will eat much of it, and I don't thnk it would be problem if they did. For those not familiar, this is a vigorous grass that gets about 40" tall, and the bases of the stems have a pulpy interior with a marvelous lemony smell, very popular in Viet Namese and Thai cuisine. It makes good planting in tortoise pens in my opinion, providing cover and maybe a little food. That was my experience anyway. Good luck, vic

ah thx. cause we have plenty of it in our backyard. my parents used to use it for cooking dishes.
