I have a very large female that laid 11 eggs about a month ago, but appears to still have an egg inside her. I've tried massaging it but it doesn't seem to want to budge. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Joe

The best thing is to take it to a vet but if that is not an option then you might try inserting a bit of mineral oil into her and then sort of gently message the egg. If the egg feels hard it may have solidified. If so, needle aspiration will not help. If it is a normal egg aspiration can be done but I still use a bit of mineral oil just to make things slippery. I am sure others here have various opinions and techniques but I still say take it to your vet or someone who has "felt" thier way through this sort of thing before. Good luck with her.
I am having a similar problem my female laid 2 eggs and still has 5 more in her and they have been in her for a month now. I made a vet appointment for tomorrow to be safe with a trusted exotic vet that takes care of my Tortoises and Wallaby. is there anything I can try on my own that could help her get them out? Sorry I am not trying to thread jack you it just seems we are both having the same problem
