When is king snake breeding season? I am trying to figure out why my snake has not eaten in like 3-4 weeks. Any other ideas?

Sorry to see no one has answered your question after 2 days.
Your kingsnake may be going into shed or just going into summer non feed cycle. Live meals work better then thawed this time of year. Good Luck

While I'm not opposed to properly monitored live feeding, that's bologna.

If they take f/t - continue with it.
Usually it is spring when males stop eating and summer when they start again - but I wouldn't worry about refusing food as long as it isn't skinny.

Check your husbandry (temps etc) and if it has been refusing f/t then be extremely extremely extremely careful with offering live.

It is the snakes that just don't feel like eating that are the one most likely to be injured or killed by live prey.

I decided my old sig was too big.

Thank you for your replys he is usually a good eater he just seems grumpy when I go to feed him he strikes at the togs/food but doesnt grab on and eat it if I leave them in the feeding tank he doesnt touch them. I know snakes can live a long time with no food and I know there is a season but I just wanted to know because I have more lizards and turtles and it is my only snake and first one at that.
