Terry,

If I recall, other breeders have had het albinos come out looking like that as well. After time the return to the normal coloration.

Terry,
I had the same thing happen last year on a clutch from hets...and I thought exactly the same thing! But after shedding, that baby became much more "normal" looking.

Sometimes the albinos look like snows when they hatch, but they color up after a few sheds, too.

I have had the same thing happen, they hatch out axanthic looking, not normal brown AT ALL and after about 2 or 3 sheds they are just a light brown color , they never get the normal shade of brown but they aren't axanthic looking after they have some size on them.. Not sure what causes it but it will make you scratch your head when you see it for sure! Anthony McCain..

they call them blushing albinos.....(het blush I guess it would be )......

they will turn yet can stay cute....

if keeping females , keep these first......

I have one het amel female that is so pretty........better than any other I ever hatched......and she throws these and the white snowlike amels......

.......have fun and good luck......

Since it seems alot of people have had this same situation, my input will probably not matter much, but, is there any way you bought Hets or Visuals that COULD have had Axanthic blood? I know there are probably breeders out there that sell Albinos that were produced from an Albino x Het where one of the parents has a slim chance to carry the Axanthic gene.

Anyhow, nice looking snakes.

Very possible, parents = male albino came from Mark Bell,Het Female from Morton Wright. It is a male so Ireally do not need it.Terry

I get Het Axanthics that have that look (slightly greenish) in the egg they look Axanthic, even after they hatch, but after the first shed they get a bronze like coloring, every one has been a male? I keep hoping to get a female.
