het hypo stripe bloodred clutch.........

wisema2297 Jul 20, 2008 08:52 AM

My last clutch of the season was laid last night........I think. I had given up on the female and thought that she had reabsorbed her eggs but decided to leave her lay box in for a while longer just be sure. I learned this leason last year when my mexican hog layed a clutch in her water bowl.

I checked on her for the first time in almost a week and saw that she had recently finished laying 4 good eggs and 4 bad. I say recently because she was still partially wrapped around them and appeared to recovering from her double clutching.

This is an important clutch for me because it gets my hypo stripe bloodred project started. The female is a bloodred het hypo and the male is a hypo stripe.
