I incubate ruthveni eggs in a tub of sphagnum at 79 degrees, it usually takes 70-76 days. Other guys I talk to get it done in 65-70 days. those tubes are as big or bigger than any ruthveni eggs, so they should fit somewhere in that range. As you know I am looking for mugitus, I have never had the pleasure of breeding them so my experience is limited to this dot...
Joanna Burger wrote a paper in the late 80's or early 90's that discussed differential survivorship of p.m. melanoleucus embryos at varying temps. I believe that she theorized that there was lower female survivorship at higher temperatures, hence my temp choice and probably longer time frame. Terry Vandeventer posted here last year, he feels that there is some effect of temperatures on sex determination in the Louisiana pines and consistently incubates at a certain temperature -somewhere in the 70's I think.
fun fun fun!
