Striped Pastel Hypo Litter!

LeeMatthew Jul 21, 2008 04:31 AM

I just had my first boa litter and I didn't even know she was pregnent! The mother is a 4yr.old Jim Peters Pastel Type B. She has great color, even at 8 feet.
The father is a 9 year old Salmon boa direct from rich. He was rated as a B animal. For some reason the entire litter of 15 turned out striped!!! I don't know how many are hypo, but will see soon enough.
I was thinking that the female was just constipated,(I posted once about that)but last night she passed everything and had an extra surprise!

I'll post pictures soon............

Congratulations! Always fun getting surprises like that. You mentioned that all the babies were striped. To what degree (50%, 90%, tail striping)? I would definitely hold onto that breeding pair if the babies look anything like their mom (she's gorgeous). Post pics of those little guys/gals and congrats again!

Unfortunatly this whole litter was premature and did not live. All of them were 50%to 80%Striped,so that gives me something to look forward to in the future! When I first looked at them I thought they were arabesque. They were that odd. The parents are not stiped AT ALL-not sure what happend???
