Tri-colored hypo (mega line) bred to a real nice Falcon extreme. And I can say first off that he is not a hypo at all.The real reason I say this is because I have bred (as have many other people) falcon extreme animals to generic hypos and always got hypos. So,I know that its not my extreme that is the broken link here.
My male is het hypo for sure as I got one real nice (pretty much extreme) hypo and then the rest are normal. There could be a couple hypos but they don't really show it.But they are super clean bright tangerine babies with no tipping but there black is really black.
So, I really have to believe that my animal is actually a t albino.I thought this a few times when he was small cause he was actually purple when I got him.He has now changed to a color I really can't even describe. Its almost like a greyish yellow.Very weird indeed.
Now,I have some other clutches cooking that are due pretty soon that may answer some other questions but for now I know that he isn't a hypo of any kind. Also,I knew he wasn't just a extreme hypo in the tri-colored version cause he started tipping up as he started to grow. All the real extremes I have seen don't tip up at all.
Anyway, I also hatched out a clutch from my v.p. ghost female that I produced a few years ago and she was bred by this male and this males father as well the triple het that started all this crazy mega line stuff. This triple het has proved also to produce some crazy things when bred to about anything.
I ended up getting out of 10 eggs 4 anerys,1 or 2 hypos,2 or 3 normals and 3 ghosts. Now on the ghosts one is pretty normal just a tad light and very nice. The second is killer v.p and could be a low end mega ghost and the third is a super v.p.ruby eyed mega ghost.
Now, I am not 100% sure who the father was.I really didn't care cause I thought I would know since I thought I was breeding a hypo vs.triple het.If all I got was hypos and ghosts then I would know it was the tri-color as the father and if I saw anerys and normals also then I would know it was the triple het.But now since he isn't a hypo its hard to say.I know he is het hypo but I m not sure if he is het anery or not? I should find out in the next clutch.
So, I will wait for the rest of my clutches on the mega line stuff (4 more) and I will wait and see what Terry does when his hypo clutches hatch as well.Problem is there is a chance that Terry's "mystery" animal is a hypo and mine isn't.They have the same father but have different mothers.I have the mother that produced mine as well but after 5 years and over 60 eggs the only egg that has ever been good is the one that hatched my male.So maybe he is tottaly different than all of Terry's stuff but is also het for a few of them.
Next year will answer more questions also as I have about 5 animals that will go from Terry's stuff from 3 years ago.
So, here is a pic of my male when he was little.
here he is a little older.
here he is now.

here he is with his mother.

o.k. here is the falcon extreme female used.
here she is with her clutch.

couple eggs went bad but here is the clutch. Now they are all almost normal but can you imagine the genes these guys may be carrying?

So, there it is.I thought it would answer some questions but all it did was throw a wrench in things.LOL.. thats what makes it fun I guess.
I did expect a whole clutch of hypos and for maybe one or two to be Mega hypos. buy was I surprised.
