Need help...Long post

Hello all. I'm a long time member, but have not been here in a long time...glad to see this forum is still up and running.
I have a 9 year old German Giant/Orange Phase dragon named Arnie. He was bred by Weiss reptiles. He has been as healthy as possibe(no vet visits for anything)until yesterday. After eating, he started rubbing his head around the floor like he was shedding except he was rubbing his open eye also. I was afraid of him hurting his eye and picked him up. He twisted in a very unusual fashion (I know Arnie well after 9 years).
Today he can't lift his body off the floor to walk properly. He also appears not to be able to hold his head up when he tries to walk.
He is still eating, but I have to move him to is bowl, and than to his log to digest.
I'm thinking he had a stroke, but am looking for any help or experance with this. I don't want him to suffer and will have him PTS right away. I really love the guy way to much to see him like this.
Thanks in advance, Wayne.

NIce age

Sounds like it may be a stroke too...a vet visit should be able to determine if that is what he had. At first I was thinking maybe something got into his eye but the behavior is not right.

YES!...I think Arnie's fine!
He regurgitated some of his food and it looks like part of a grasshopper he ate was stuck in his pipe. I pulled it out while he was being sick and it has not been digested. He is acting like a pup again...I'm so happy. I over reacted, but the age thing has me spooked. I swear, he acts and looks like he did at three years old. I think he will out live me. Thanks for the help!
Wayne.

I catch them with a little tropical fish net. I also catch these other insects that make a buzzing sound in the mesquite trees. Both of these insects are seasonal of course. They really get Arnie all amped up! It also seems to make him eat more of all the rest of his food...kinda like a fountain of youth if you will. He is a tough old lizard.
