mouth color

hey regarding my mystery male (Rocky,lol) i got him to open his mouth and the inside of his mouth is black, or atleast it looks black. that must mean hes an eastern collared lizard, right? if he is, then he could be a texas collared or some other eastern, right? i did get his little mouth open, and it does look black. let me know what you guys think.

Collardsguy,
Mouth color is a reliable diagnostic. C. collaris has black pigment in the back
of their mouth, and C. bicinctores does not. Also, the anterior collar is complete across the bottom of the throat in C. bicinctores, while not so in C. collaris. The odds of you having a hybrid of the two species would be very unlikely and extremely rare.

thank you i thought so... im guessing this little guy is some kind of eastern collared lizard. ill see as he matures what his coloration looks like... thank you....
