Our first Fire clutch and more

brookside Jul 22, 2008 08:22 PM

I've seen so many awesome ball python pics posted here recently....from odd looking normals to high-end morphs. We wanted to share a few pics of our own...especially our first ever Fire clutch.

Fires - 6 egg clutch (0.3 Fires and 3.0 Normals)

Male Fire (Sire of clutch above) purchased from Priceless Pythons

Albinos - 4 egg clutch (0.2 Albinos and 0.2 100% Hets)

Het Pieds - 12 egg clutch (4.8 100% Het Pieds)

Het Pieds - 13 egg clutch (5.8 100% Het Pieds)

Best Wishes and Good Luck to all of you!

Fires are so cool.
You've had some large clutches! Twelve and 13 eggs? Very nice.
You have a very respectable group of het for pieds! Now the question is, do you keep them all or raise them up and breed them?

Nice snakes!

Thanks Casey, I appreciate your feedback.

Keeping vs selling is always a struggle for me. I had already planned on keeping every Fire female I produced this year. I'll probably keep some of the het pied females as well. I still have 15 more het pied eggs incubating....so I definitely need to let some go to make some room

Thank you for your positive post. You're doing well and I'm happy for you.
Best of luck to you! Fifteen more het pieds???

Thanks! The females are approximately 5 1/2 to 6 feet in length and weigh between 4000-4500 grams. They have produced 12-14 egg clutches for the past 3 years which I'm definitely grateful for...
