Hey,
I'm not Teepee but I received mine about a week or so ago. It is definately something lighter than a normal "blond" or light phase. The only difference I see between it and a true ivory tortoise is a small light tan/brown line around each scute....where normal sulcatta have a dark brown line and brown dots in the center of each scute. This is the only coloration on this tortoise. The true ivories don't have this tannish coloration. I would guess this is a form of hypomelanism in this animal. It's not just a lighter phase animal with all the usual markings.
Best wishes,
Mike
