Bumble Bee Yellow Bellies

MarcBailey Jul 23, 2008 04:18 PM

Here's a comparison picture of 2 bumble bee yellow bellies and a regular bumble bee. All 3 of these hatched from the same clutch about a month ago. The yellow bellies just glow. Of course they look much better in person but you can clearly see the differnce in the photos -- bees without the dirt!
thanks

They are beautiful. Definitely my favorite triple trait not involving any recessives. The stark yellow and white against the black patterning is quite stunning.

The possibilities are endless. One thing I keep thinking about is crossing one of these with the het super stripe(or whatever they call those)! I have 2 '07 females(bumble bee yellow bellies) on the shelf to try and find out at some point.
thanks for the feedback!

Nice and clean Marc, very nice!!! I too heard from a mutual friend that your Calico pastels were really nice, any pics? and any other calico combos? and any pics?
The male pastel I bought from you still looks as nice as he did as a hatchling, he's stayed at about 800-900 grams for a while now, just snaped a couple pics tonight, I think he's a great looker, but I may be a bit biased. Keep up the great work, I will definately be buying something from you next year, saving my pennies.

Very, Very Nice! Yellow Bellies are so underrated in my opinion...I too would like to see the end result of crossing those yellow belly bees into the super stripe project.
