paper vs substrate

brick1 Jul 23, 2008 05:25 PM

do the snakes mind either way?? i guess what im asking, is that i always fiqured that the snakes would prefer substrates, but i think that thought is coming from thinking like a human, or a cat or dog. And that maybe snakes dont associate those kind of thoughts, ie as long as they got water, some where to hide, and 2 different temps all is good. Paper would make it much easier for me, but just trying to fix my conscience on the matter

OK, snakes don't have a "mind" to mind the difference. Mine are thriving on paper so....

As long as needs are met...

Water
Temps
Security
Food
Housekeeping
Yearly procreation session (and even that is optional)

Yeah, I like the look of it better and there is no ink transfer. The ink does not hurt them if/when you get some transfer, just makes them look dirty.

I just use paper towel. Cheap, clean, and has a little texture and more absorbent than paper..not to mention I quickly became tired of scrapping paper off tubs as it has a bad habit of gluing itself to plastic. Not to mention leaving black finger prints over everything...

Never had this problem with paper towel.
