IMO clear or opaque are the only ways to go. Just because thay are nocturnal does not mean they don't tell time by light. W/out the daily photoperiod, how would they know when it was time to "be" nocturnal. Would they become sleep deprived since it was always night and therefore always time to be up?

Do I know this for a fact - nope, just my opinion.

I rarely see opaque tubs anymore..other than deep rubbermaids, the blue ones. At least not in stores..except IKEA but their tubs were not suitable for what I had in mind.

So my baby rack I finished recently (I'll get pictures soon kind of forgot about taking pictures), I have clear racks.
