Boa Cycling Information

slacker6848 Jul 24, 2008 11:00 PM

Hi, I'm going to try to breed some of my boas this year and I'm not sure on the cycling, can someone give me an exact cycling schedule, such as do i start dropping temps in mid October and drop 2 degrees every 2 days? until it reaches what temp? and do I introduce the male into the females cage while temps are still low and how long should I wait till I introduce them?

Thanks for any information you can give me
Zack

I started cycling my boas on the 12th of Never, finished that afternoon. Got 2 healthy litters out of 2 pairings.

No need to cycle!!!! Just put them together, keep their environment constant, and they'll do the rest for you.

Beastie's remark just goes to show that there is no set way to do it. Unfortunatley you have to figure out what works for you, trial an error can and will be fusturating, but it is your best bet.

That is exactly true. The environment your boas are set up in is different from mine, and you'll have to see what works for them... As long as they are healthy & active in their set ups, that should be a sign that they will successfully breed that way.

Good luck!!
