Strange Water Monitor Behavior? Or is it

Rizambyyy Jul 25, 2008 12:10 PM

my water monitor wants nothing to do with me inside the house but if i take him anywhere or just outside his attitude changes completely and he wants me to hold him.hell get on my shoulders and just bask in the sun. When i take him to the pet store hes the same way calm. But once we leave and he sees his tank he wants to take off and get in it.I mean its somewhat all good i was just wondering if maybe the curiosity of the animal made it to where he had forgotten me as a threat. So if anyone has some info they would like to share with me plz i'll be more than happy to take it in. Thanks

sounds to me like your water monitor just wants some security and to be able to hide. from now on, rather than just taking him out of his cage, try coaxing him out with some goodies. maybe a f/t or prekilled mouse or rat or a bowl of worms. get him used to coming out on his terms, not your's and you'll see a big improvement.
