Zeus Sep 03, 2003 03:46 PM

hey guys i was just wondering at what size do blue tegus start to lose there orange color? mine is probably about 2 1/2 feet and still has a ton of orange on his back and tail and of course his belly. he looks like he could almost be a red/blue cross. i bought him as a blue because i love that ice blue/white color they get. also he is really fat. is this dangerous for him. he weighs at least a couple of pounds. thanks for any input.

How old is he and what are you currently feeding him?

not sure exactly how old he is. i think maybe a year. i dont know but he gets ground turkey, f/t mice, superworms, chicken, eggs and fruit. he is a great eater. i took some pics today but have not had a chance to load them onto the computer. will get them up in the next couple of days. by the way i am thinking of adding a red tegu to my collection. i am hooked on tegus. thanks for the reply
