This just dawned on me about morphs plus

FR Jul 25, 2008 12:26 PM

I am a little slow getting this, but for some reason, many here think in a very narrow way about morphs, pure, hybrids, crosses etc. It appears they think I am like that too.

So let me explain my stance, I love reptiles, within that, I love snakes, within that, I love kingsnakes.

That brings us to this forum. I love kingsnakes, I love pure locality kingsnakes, but I also love morphs, and I love mutts/hybrids, and I love different species, etc.

Not only do I love these animals, but I respect them for what they are. I respect localities, I respect hybrids, I respect crosses. I have a love and respect for all of them.

I also have each area in its place. I love snakes in nature, and have a very very very very hard time removing them from there. I love captives and also have a hard time removing them from here.

So, stop with the building fences(around me), its apparent that I love more then those that only love/like little segments of kingsnakes. It would be a far better discussion if it was about who loved this more.

To love something also means to understand that something. So thats why I post like I do. We all really need to understand what wild means, then love and respect that. We all need to understand what these snakes actually do, no matter if its in nature or in captivity. So I only post to open little windows into kingsnakes, all kingsnakes. Cheers

I wish you would stop posting your boring uniformational posts above mine to bury all the nice pics I posted.

OH AND I AGREE WITH YOU ON EVERYTHING UNTIL YOU RAG ON ME. THEN I DISAGREE WITH YOU.

Nothing beats pictures. oh except a nice peanut butter and jelly. Which is what I am eating right now. Only with wheatgerm and raisens. I wonder what that would look like in a kingsnake.

Anyway, this one just popped into my fool head. Cheers

I feel the very same way about them all, but it seems to just bring me ridicule, which I could give a hoot about these days.

FR,

That is really a very mushy post! Did you just watch a rerun about Woodstock? I prefer the cage fighter style.

I only saw a couple of kings during my time in Tucson. Best is a black over splendida. In other words, it is mostly black, but if you look close, you can see the splendida pattern under the black. It is way cool. Wish I had a mate to see what the babies would look like. Maybe next time.

I like your name, blackover. Its very descriptive. And yes, blackover splendida and blackover cals and blackover yumas occur in the tucson area and south.

Yea, I bet this mushy stuff was a surprise. But its indeed true.

I do have a sore shoulder, so cage fighting may have to wait until it heals. I will stay cage fight if I have too.

Are you no longer in this area. This year is a good king year. First in about ten years. Cheers

in the light, you will find the road...

The company I work for had transfered me to Tucson. The original plan was for 5 years, but I got transferred this June after two years. I was just learning my way around and never got the chance to buy you a cold one. I am now back in Vegas, which is home. It sure looks like a moonscape here after Tucson, and the monsoons are wannabees. I am disappointed to miss the Tucson kings. Other than the blackover splendida, I only saw a fresh road kill in town on the southeast side. It was blackover Yuma, like the one you have been posting.
