Question

I know there is a breeding season for turtles/tortoises. This may sound like a stupid question, but I was wondering, do box turtles/tortoises go through a heat cycle like dogs? Or do they just mate anytime throughout the breeding season?

They will mate any time during the warm months, there's no "heat" cycle like there is with mammals.
