Nice one, I am starting to like them more and more. I had never seen aclimated ones before, only fresh imports and they look so much better after recovering from the long journey...Thanks for posting. Settle an argument...how long do Spilotes get? vic h.
Thanks for the kind words Vic. As far as length goes, I believe the record is reputed to be around 14 feet. I also believe the SA Spilotes get bigger than the CA and Mex varieties. I'm pretty sure there are a few on this forum that may have 10 foot specimens and a 9 foot male is probably in the average range. I would think that anything over 11 feet would be considered really, really big.
