breeding rhino iguanas

lincolnride Jul 26, 2008 05:27 PM

I have a 7 year old female that is very territorial since laying infertial eggs last year. I have a male that I would like to introduce to her.

When he sees her he acts intimidated and runs.
I do not want to force him resulting in an injury.
Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks Jill

I have a female that is fairly aggressive. The first time I interduced her to my male she ran up to him bit him on the arm. One year and 3 stiches later I was ready to try it again. This time I taped her mouth shut for about one hour. It was long enough for her to know my male wasn't going to hurt her. He breed her right away and they lived happily ever after.
