Spirulina?

dynamohum1 Sep 03, 2003 05:10 PM

With the other thread on color enhancement spirulina was brought up. Does any one use spirulina for their dragons? Do you gut load crickets with it? I found a number of sights on the net touting the benefits of feeding spirulina to reptiles, one even talked about how it turns the crickets green making them more appealing to the beardeds. any thoughts?

The 3 t-rex sandfire superfoods formulated for BD's contain spirulina as one of there ingredients. I'm certain it is added for the B vitamins and trace minerals rather than it's supposed color enhancing properties. I use all 3 products and are very happy with them.
