geckoejon Jul 27, 2008 06:24 AM

hello everyone. i'm new to this forum. i'm usually on the pits page. anyway...
i've been looking for a pair of cave dwelling rat snakes and haven't had any luck finding a cb pair. i have found a WILD CAUGHT pair for a halfway decent price. i've never bought wild caught before and i am a little nervous. anyone have experience acclimating wc cave dwellers? looking for personal experience please. thanks.....

keep checking the classifieds. the cave dwellers pop up sporadically.
everyone has eggs in the incubators right now, start checking back around Aug-Sept and you'll most likely find what you're looking for without having to worry about taming down a wc.

yes, i believe i am going to hold off. i've never bought wc before and i would rather not start now. there just seems like too many possible complications with them such as dehydration, parisites, unknown age, picky eater. imagine trying to come up with batts for a steady food supply i'll keep looking, thanks...

Hi Jon. I assume you're in the US. I did see a proven pair advertised for sale in the UK recently at a fair price.
Graham.
