There was some discussion earlier about what to look for in a breeder. I would like to reiterate "support after the sale". This not only includes answering questions about the animal purchased but verifying the animal in the event of a sale.
I contacted several breeders to confirm possible animals for sale. Almost half did reply and were more than helpful. Sadly, half did not reply. One went as far as to try sell me one of his own reptiles while dancing around the question of whether or not he sold the animal in question.
I will not buy from that breeder. That's a big red flag in my book. To the helpful breeders, I'm not a customer now, but certainly might be in the future.
