1. What reasons other than for having mites, being too hot, or going in to shed, do boas have for basking in their water bowls?

2. What are the reasons for a boa passing urates frequently, every day to every other day?

I dont know about the soaking I have a female who just enjoys getting in her water dish but your other q is it a male that is urinating? Our males did that especailly if you have a female in the room. If you do its because she giving off a scent that shes ready to breed. Well hope I could help a little
