This boy is from my Yellow Italian Leatherback het Hypo and my Hypo Trans female. He hatched out Hypo Pastel het for trans and his father his NO translucents genes in his bloodline AT ALL. He has shed out once and since then has gained translucent patches all over his body. I have been breeding and producing translucents for years now and have seen het for trans babies from a trans x het trans breeding go trans or translucents gain white with age but never have I seen a Hypo Pastel gain translucent patches when only one parent is the carrier of a simply ress. trait.(Translucent) We have named him Onyx and as of right now we are calling him a Hypo Paradox Translucent. If anybody has seen anything else like our little boy please let me know.
Thanks
-Amy

Hi Amy,

My friend Jens have hatched a those Pied animal too from a
Translucent x Yellow Hypo breeding( there should be only normal looking dragons heterozygot to both Morphs) but it was no so much pied as yours. This Dragon is awsome!! My opinion is that the
Translucent gene have broken over to a codominant mutation or so.
I find it real important to breed this animal further, please keep it!))

Greetz and thanks for those great pics...

Very nice! I've seen that before where 100% het trans babies will turn trans. I posted one a while back from a purple patch trans to Dachiu's lavendar. He started off normal, then gradually turned trans. Now he's completely trans as an adult with dark eyes. Your little guy will probably continue to turn more trans. Keep us updated! Josh

This guy started off normal, then gradually turned trans. He is 100% HET trans. You can barely see the remaining white color around the face. Josh

Have you ever had a Hypo Pastel go trans like this guy or just normal het for trans?

This one is a white hypo 100% HET trans that started off as a regular white baby. He's got a bit of hornworm guts on his face. Josh

This guy is an orange hypo 100% HET trans that started losing white around his backside, then it gradually spread out to the rest of his body. Josh

This is the same one from the previous post. His eyes are starting to change over. This guy just bred this year. When his babies hatch, i'll post some pics. Josh

This female is also 100% HET trans. She bred this year and produced 6 clutches. Not one of her babies looked like her. She was bred to another het and still produced around 25% trans. Josh

A friend of ours ( Firehouse Dragons) hatched a dragon out of non translucent gene dragons that over time turned translucent! Very Cool!
