Hey folks.
I've got a Florida Blue Garter and a ribbon snake of some sort and I was making plans for future housing for them. Any idea if it would be safe to house them together? (and feed them apart?)

Just to be safe I could be wrong but I would not house them together. I am not sure what the prices are like were you live but here you can set up a fairly decent 10G enclosure for less than $50 well worth it to keep your pets happy, alive and healthy.

You are generally better off housing all your snakes in their own cages if you can. If cost is an issue, rubbermaid/sterilite really does work out well. Use a woodburner or soldering iron to make the ventilation holes. Good luck. Duffy
Walmart sells some great rubbermaid 3 gallon containers for about 4 bucks. I use them when ever I need a place to pul a live anymal in the field. I have a similare question though. What are everyones thoughs about houseing a male and a female garter snake together for breeding perposes?

Personally, without cycling, I would never keep 2 thamnophis together. They have been known to be cannibalistic. Andy

Nah, price wasn't really an issue. Just exploring options. I'll keep them apart. Thanks for the input folks.
