i think mi ornate is sick. when i went to go feed my boxies 2day i accidently kneed their pen. so my male got a little scared and hid in his shell. but he made the strangest noise ever. it kinna sounded like a ducks quack so i picked bhim up and listened for clicking but i think its a really little click but theres no dischrge or anything. any body got an ornate? any advice?

When a box turtle quickly closes its shell, air is pushed out through its nostrils, making a hissing sound. Maybe this is what you heard?

Probably a hisssss. Unless you notice any other symptoms, you just started him. BTW, my ornate hissed at me for years! Now she just glares.
