I am going away for the weekend, my pet sitter will not deal with crix, will mealies be alright for protein for my 12 week old beardie?
How big is he? Superworms would probably be a better choice if he's over 12" or so.
right around 12 prob closer to 11 however
I will hope for alot of small supers in my next 100
Thanks
You can buy supers in smaller sizes at timberlinefisheries.com al 11" would be best with mediums. the smalls are really small.
http://timberlinefisheries.com/superworms.htm
the medium says are 1-1.5inches
the ones I buy are normally about that size...
I buy them for my 19" yearling
Are you suggesting she may be alright on 1-1.5" supers for a few days?
if so, EASY and done...
I bought butterworms, and placed an order with my local herp store for 20 medium silkworms,
I was going to give 10 silks 10 butters, for the 2 days I would be gone. greens that my lady has no problems with.
I showed her I would have portions cut out in sandwich bags, and the worms coutned in small cups to be dumped into food dish.
I planned to portion double green portions.
Thanks
The 19" dragon would be fine with any size super. I buy the mediums and feed them to a 50 gram paralyzed dragon I have and they're fine for her. I can't tell you her length since she is missing most of her tail but I'd say she'd be close to 11" if she were normal.
The silks and butters are a fine idea too. Just remember the silks will need to be fed.
I ordered a culture so it comes with food
I have never seen a super bigger then 2 inches, I thought the 1.5inchers were the large, uhmm, I am up in Canada, who knows, I get my food from www.reptilekings.com a local herp store.
Thanks BDlvr once again great help
