I found the article very interesting and informative. Lots of detail...thought I might have to wait for the english version. Once I was through the introduction and methodology I found food for thought in every paragraph. Thanks, got more???

Hi mate
That paper is part of a series of papers on snake venom evolution.
The others range from examining the evolution of 3FTx (three-finger toxins) in elapids, to the pharmacological actions and potencies of various 'colubrid' venoms to working out what the first venomous snake had in its venom (in the early years just before the the first split (vipers) from the rest of the Colubroidea tree (advanced snakes).
They are steadily rolling out, the elapid 3FTx evolution paper just came out this week.
Cheers
B
