important egg question-need response

hey guys,

my first year incubating eggs, they have been in teh incubator for about almost a month, they seem to look like eggs in previous people incubators, but they have some sort of white stiff on teh shell, looks kinda like cotton, is this bad of what ???? to dry to wet ?? temp is at 86 F... i need help for future incubation,

It may be that it is too wet but most likely the egg is going bad. Usually eggs will start getting mold on them when they are no good. Leave it alone and let nature take its course. If it is going bad there is nothing you can do about it. The temp is right at 86 degrees. If you think its too wet, let it air out for an hour, but monitor the eggs in the next few days to make sure they are not dehydrated(sinking in)

I had the same question last year. I was told to put miconazole nitrate on my eggs witch is the active ingredient in some athlete's foot powder. None of the eggs I put this on hatched but maybe you will have better luck. It couldn't hurt to try.

well i have half off my eggs in the icnubator and the other half in th enest in the cage to see what has better results..lol i throw out 4 eggs that were sunken in and turning yellow, so i have a few in the incubator still... thanks guys for your help..
