50% Suriname anery

ilovemylizard Jul 29, 2008 12:20 AM

This girl had her first shed here, and she's looking great...

The pictures make her appear far more brown than she actually is...

I think the BCC blood adds so much to her pattern and contrast...I don't miss the red at all...

Her grandparents were a Suriname X Colombian anery pairing.

No color? Suri anery, defeat's the purpose of the color of the surinam doesn't it? Well good luck anyway.

Seems silly I know, but what I'm going for is keeping a really nice Suriname pattern (contrast/peaks) in an anery...the pattern of BCC is much different than Colombian...

I imagine a 75% or more Suriname anery will blow away any Colombian anery...

I also have other Suriname intergrade morphs I would love to get the anery gene into...these two forms in particular...both 50% Suriname...

Hope that clears up where I'm going with this girl...

Sounds like a great project! Good luck on getting it perfected. I love the anerys and how cool would an anery surinam look.

I love the color's of the surinam's. Those are beautiful animal's, I will post some picture's of my sharp bred kahl albino suri. He is 2 year's old with no color loss on his tail or his pattern. He is a vpi/sharp but kahl albino. His father was purchased from sharp but not a sharp albino, he is a kahl albino. well give me some time and I will share my babie's

That makes perfect sense to me!
I'm really glad you got that animal.
My theory is that the peaks and pattern will return as we start getting into the higher percentage of BCC.
That's why I was going to shoot for 75% BC hypos.
Great plan, Heather!
Good luck!

...I meant 75% BCC hypos.
