the mouse that got away

irishanaconda Jul 29, 2008 10:20 AM

quick story:
so i was feeding some of my snakes and 3 mice got out of a bin i was keeping them in. in turn my g/f was heated so i got to spend some time sleeping on the couch to think about how i could catch them and 16 glue traps later i now am abled to sleep in the room. little advice for the next would be couch surfer is to surround the cooking oven with the traps cause they seem to like to collect small crumbs around the stove.

My dog is an awesome vermin hunter...

We had a demon rat that 4 snakes didn't want to eat. Too agressive? I don't know. After the 4th tub, we went to check on it. It jumped 3 ft out of a tub, onto my son. It bit my son and then ran behind some boxes in the basement. Within 5 minutes, Dory caught it, and stunned in just enough for us to grab it and throw it in another snake tub.

She got a nice treat for that one...

And yes, I feed f/t to those that readily eat f/t.....

I have mice/ rats get out all the time. My dogs are awsome, usually within 2 days dead mouse/rat. I guess a cat would work, if you are a cat person.
