can the red devil be made w/ Sonoran's?

micahdenton Jul 29, 2008 11:15 AM

Just a thought about the red devil. It stands to reason that hypo Nics and Colombians are the same but what about hypo Sonoran's, Cancun's, or Houndran's. all three of those local's have hypo morphs that don't resemble the other hypo BCI morphs. also I hate to say this because mixing local and subspecies makes my skin crawl and my stomach turn but Millers purple Bolivians look to be a hypo and there are 3 know hypo Longi's out there are giving that their different species, that hypo gene might be far enough away to give you a living hypo super motley. what do think? an chance these crosses might get the job done?

In all the breeding scenarios below, why has it not been mentioned to attempt breeding a Super-Motley to a confirmed Super-Hypo/Salmon (I just skimmed over the posts, so it may have been brought up)? Would this produce a litter with visual Hypo-Motleys?
