mister question

mbmcewen Sep 03, 2003 07:15 PM

I just bought a misting system. Should I worry about heating the water in the bucket? If it should be done...how?

Thanks

When assembling the elbow/nozzle, I overtightened and sprung a drip. Does anyone have an extra elbow/nozzle they might sell me. I am using the white nozzle but others would work...maybe red. I know I can buy them from wetworks but their shipping charge is ridiculous.

Thanks,

Matt-

Try putting more plumbing tape on the fittings to seal the leak. If this doesn't work, I am sure if you call the company they will work something out with you, since you just bought the system! Hope this helps!

That is a good idea....sealing it with something else.

The system is a Mr. Moisture. I think it will be a good investment.

room temp is fine Matt, as far as the nozzle, I would go to wal mart and take your busted one in and see if they have one that would work.

by the way if you have chlorinated water I would keep an extra bucket and alternate, letting the other bucket dissipate the chlorine takes 24 hours. I use well water which is quite cool, around 56degrees, with no ill effects.

Matt-

I have a Rainmaker Jr. and I don't heat the water, but you can. All you would need is a 50W fully submersible aquarium heater. Now that said, the heater will break if it is not in water, so you would have to make sure the bucket is always filled. I have a float switch on mine that keeps the bucket filled automatically for me so this would not be a problem. I don't think you have a fancy set up like mine, so be cautious about using the heater. Hope this helps!
