Sexing Macklotts

I just bought a beautiful 6-7 foot Macklotts. Its tail is very long and it probed 11-13 scales. I assume its a male but I cannot find any good sexing info on them.
Also, I was wondering what size enclosures most of you guys kept your adults in. Its in a 36 X 28 inch vision at the moment and it wants nothing to do with a hide box

L. mackloti males probe deeper than males of about any other python or boa species. What you got with this male is about right on as far as number of subcaudals.
