Need Some Help =P

darkrai Jul 29, 2008 08:21 PM

Hi everybody. I doubt you remember me, but, thanks to everyone, I'm glad to say that Tilly, my Leopard Gecko, is growing to be healthy and beautiful. Infact, I'm thinking of breeding in a month or two =D

But, recently I bought the "Peek-A-View" burrow thing. It's foam, so I'm not entirely worried, but, she seems to actually be burrowing UNDER the thing. That's right. She's trying to use it as a blanket of sorts. I've tried to get her out, but she insists on staying under there. I'm worried she isn't getting enough heat and air. She's been staying on the moist side of the cage all day. Under a slightly wet forest tree plant, thing. =P.

She stays under there, and doesn't go near the hot side. I've only had her for three weeks, so I still dont know much. Ive tried switching the lamp to the moist side (for all of about twenty minutes) and she didn't want to stay in that area again. So, is this something I should be concerned about? Should I continue to remove her? Or should I just ignore it? I don't want to wake up tomorrow morning and she's not breathing. =

Help would be Extreeeemly appreciated.

They are nocturnal so she probably is trying to get out of the light. Mine spend the day in the moist hide and come out in the evening when I turn off the light and in the morning they are on the hot side. I wouldn't worry too much. If she can't breath she will come out.
