Incubation Help

jcornelisse5 Jul 30, 2008 08:09 PM

Alright... so I don't have my incubator yet... still hasn't been shipped... my female laid eggs unexpectedly as seen in my previous post... I was wondering about the humidity the eggs should be kept in they are still doing fine i had them on vermic and in the container condensation formed... i didn't know if this was too much moisture for them. i have read that vermic can cause mold or fungus so i have since switched to perlite..i added a little water to the perlite enough to make it into a ball but nothing drips out...and the ball breaks apart... i tried to do the math for it but it didn't work out like i thought...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,
Jeff Cornelisse

Here is the way to do it. From Albeys Reptiles. Click the link for it. It works out well what she says.

The ratio in "The Herpetoculture of Leopard Geckos" is good as well. 6 parts medium(I use vermiculite) to 4 parts water by weight works great for me.
