Coastal - Color changes

rabido Sep 03, 2003 08:47 PM

How does a Coastal's color change during his lifetime? Are they generally better looking as juveniles, or as adults?
Thanks!

Coastals tend to be a bit drab when born and their contrast increases through the first year or two, then they normally stay pretty nice, or develope a slightly darkened dorsal stripe. Normally not anywhere near as bad as the melanin in some jungles.

"Normally not anywhere near as bad as the melanin in some jungles."

That is EXACTLY why I keep coastals and not jungles.
