Imported Beardies?

ExecutiveReptiles Jul 31, 2008 11:50 PM

I heard a rumor about Bearded dragons being imported from ElSalvador along with green Iguanas......I was just wondering if anyone else had ever heard anything like that? If they are really being imported wouldn't they be unrelated to our stock in the US?

If imported from El Salvador, they will be from captive bred collections and probably unrelated to US stock. Unless they were somehow illegally smuggled out of Australia..

Your probably talking about the Fluker Farm in El Salvador. I've read people state, they're the reason why we have adenovirus and some other diseases bearded dragons.

It depends on where their original breeders came from. Most likely they came from the US.
