Some new garters

Steve_Craig Aug 01, 2008 08:47 PM

I received this trio of garters from Scott yesterday. First one is a 2008 male similis. Future mate to my 07 female.

Next is an 08 erythristic eastern garter.

And finally I picked up one of these gems. An 08 female red-sided.

Those are sweet. That first one has a heck of a lot of blue for a baby and that last one made me realize how much I miss having red-sided garters.

What's interesting is that this blue stripe has more blue on him at a younger age then my female did. And you can see how blue she turned in the thread below this one.
I really like that red eastern you found in the Cleveland area. I hope she produces some colorful offspring.

Thank you Dan. I've been wanting a bright redsided, and I think this 08 female is outstanding.

Hey Steve!,Those are some really nice garters you've got there! It's amazing to me how inquisitive they are.My garters actually come to me when I'm checking them out, changing water etc. Jeff

You have one heck of a nice collection yourself. My garters are also curious when I reach in their cage. Very alert & wanting to see what's going on. My 07 female blue stripe is sometimes curious, and sometimes she spazs out and goes psyco, LOL
