Are these similar to other waters in temperment. Also on Nerds site it says stays smaller, what range would that be?

Just curious, how often do you feed adult waters and what size rat?

Thank you

They do not get as big. They range from 4 to 5 ft and possibly bigger. I've got an animal similar to them. The thing with salvators (and all monitors )is that not even the normal ones that get LARGER are always nice. It is true that the smaller species of water monitor are more agressive. I have one which is about 3ft now (eye balling)and he is pretty agressive.
I've noticed that this one will not tackle larger rodents. It enjoys smaller prey like roaches and hopper and fuzzie mice. it will grab an adult mouse but will not eat it. I'm sure for this species that adult mice will be no problem for them or even smaller rats. I feed mine just about 5 to 6 days out of the week.
As it hits its larger size ill feed it a bit less so that it doesnt become too roobust.
