I guess it just depends on the source you buy from. My WC westerns I have are in good condition and eat extremly well. I do have one CB baby I was able to hatch. I still have not decided it i want to sell it. I'm wanting to breed mine next spring so we will see what happens. I usually dont sell coachwhips on my site. I do at times like to sort my collection out and help fellow herpers. I would sell ya one. But all I got is WC. And I would rather not sell anymore WC, Because i'm not a importer and I do not want to be seen as one. I would keep checking glades herp, they at times do get cb coachwhips. Last year they had some cb eastern coachwhips. Best of luck mate. WILLIAM H. AND THE GREEN PINE MUSEUM.

could you give me a little bit of info and care on them? Thanks.
there is practically no difference at all as you really can't handle either. they remain whippy and sometimes bitey. any wc coachwhip i ever got ate mice/rats early and often i've found but getting cb neonates on rodents could take a while. you're better off getting a more mature animal that is used to eating regularly. wc's do perfectly fine in captivity if just observed and left alone.
I somewhat disagree with that. Most of my adults just sit in my hand rather than whip around. I do have one small adult that does a little. But calms down once held. But like Dan said, it would be best to get a WC adult, my adults eat like pigs, I got a cb coachwhip that I hatched myself and i'm gonna wait till it sheds and than I will offer it food. Yesterday I did but nothing yet. Now if you can acquire cb adults, now they might be good eaters ect. And as far as housing goes, I got mine in a custom made 6ft long and 6 ft tall cage. And I got 6 in there. I have a water dish, sunning spots, one side of the cage has a bed for them, its a wall of slate, and inside its got aspen bedding for their comfort. And some fake plants in there. And their water dish is right by the bed area. Now the rest of the cage has lots of rock hides, and I made it look like cliffs by stacking slabs of stone ect. Its got a graval bottom, and the bed area is aspen. They all really enjoy the room. Now for one or 2. Put them in a 50 gallon. If you have the money to build a cage, please do it, your snakes will thank you for it. At one time I had coachwhip in 20 gallons, but I knew it was wrong. Just make sure they have a heat lamp on them 12 hours a day. No uv bulbs, just a household bulb. Well best of luck with your coachwhips and enjoy these wonderful Colubrids. WILLIAM H. Thank you both of you for your replys. If i do get one, which i most likely will, i will get a big cage first.
